The Nebraska Enterprise Fund (NEF) has announced the addition of Terrence Coleman to the staff. Coleman is working as a business loan officer primarily in the Omaha area, but is available to assist with lending across the state. Prior to joining NEF, he was the Chief Operations Officer for NeighborWorks Omaha, an affiliate of NeighborWorks America. Coleman also owns a consulting business (Friends-R-Us Network LLC) that provides computer literacy and organizational effectiveness training programs to several non-profits in the Omaha area.
Rose Jaspersen, executive director of NEF said, “Having Terrence on staff will make it possible for NEF to increase the number of loans we do each year, particularly in the Omaha area. He has lived in the community for over 15 years and has a good handle on the need for small business gap financing. More importantly, Terrence is passionate about helping small businesses develop and grow. It is a pleasure to welcome him to our staff.”
Coleman is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, but spent his collegiate and early professional career years in New Orleans prior to coming to Omaha. His training and organizational effectiveness background extends across 20-plus years as a human resources director and manager, safety manager, “Operational Excellence” training manager, and gain-sharing specialist for organizations including Procter and Gamble, Omaha Head Start, Dial Corp. and PayPal (an eBay company). Coleman has a B.S. in chemistry from Xavier University and an M.B.A from the University of New Orleans.
“I look forward to not only assisting small businesses with needed loan capital, but also in linking businesses to the network of resources, both private and public, in Nebraska,” he said.
Coleman can be reached at 402-208-0259 or through NEF’s main office at 402-685-5500.
