The Nebraska Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) provides manufacturing support and assistance to enhance the productivity, innovative capacity, and technological performance of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises statewide (SMEs). The Nebraska MEP leverages relationships with education based service organizations, government and private businesses to offer an array of manufacturing services including expert consulting, diverse training programs, industry events and workshops, and customized assistance.
The Nebraska MEP is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program. Residing within the U.S. Department of Commerce, MEP was created in 1988 with the intent of advancing and strengthening U.S. manufacturing. Today, the MEP program consists of 60 centers in every state and Puerto Rico with over 400 service locations and 1,300 technical experts.
